Possibility of 351 new homes in Chiddingstone Causeway

Sevenoaks District Council’s development proposals for 351 new homes in Chiddingstone Causeway.
Sevenoaks District Council has published details of potential development sites put forward by landowners and developers to be included in the new Local Plan, which will guide how development will occur in the district between 2027 and 2042.
In the Chiddingstone parish, there are 3 potential sites:
1. Land opposite Penshurst Station, to the rear of the Little Brown Jug, Chiddingstone Causeway: 300 dwellings
2. Land at Station Yard, Station Hill, Chiddingstone Causeway: 43 dwellings
3. Land at the Highway Depot, Tonbridge Road, Chiddingstone Causeway: 8 dwellings.
These sites will be included in SDC’s Regulation 18 Consultation from 23rd October until 11th December 2025.
Please come to the Chiddingstone Parish Council’s open public meeting on Monday 13th October at 7.45pm in the Causeway Hall. We would like to hear your views on these proposals and answer any questions you may have.
